Home Run for Recovery
The Home Run for Recovery event is entering its 12th year in 2026, featuring a 5K Honor Run/Walk and a 10K Road Race, the only one of its kind in La Crosse County. This event is dedicated to honoring individuals who have been lost to addiction, are currently in the midst of their struggle, or are celebrating their journey of recovery. Addiction touches everyone, whether directly involved in the cycle, supporting loved ones, or witnessing the impact of substance use. Recovery is possible, and this run celebrates the potential for a full, wholesome life free from addiction, with restored relationships and hope for the future.
Objectives of Home Run for Recovery:
- Raise awareness about addiction.
- Promote the Coulee Recovery Center and its available resources.
- Generate funds to support recovery programs and relapse prevention initiatives.
The event includes a 5K Run/Walk, a 10K Road Race, and a Little Leaguer's race around the bases or warning track of the Logger's Baseball Stadium. A unique feature is that all races start at home plate in Copeland Park, La Crosse, WI. Participants in the 10K and 5K will receive a T-shirt with their registration. Youth participants in the Little Leaguers race will receive a prize. Races will be timed, with awards for the top three men and women in the following age categories: 19 and under, 20-39, 40-59, and 60 and above. Register by August 14th to guarantee your t-shirt size.
NEW THIS YEAR! While the 5K and 10K races are underway, volunteers will provide whiffle ball equipment in the outfield for kids to play.
