Hoby Hop Trail Race - 10th anniversary special
Now in its tenth year, this five mile chip timed cross country and Canicross event takes place across the countryside of the Upper Wreake valley. The route passes fields, stiles, brooks and traditional footpaths, includes some hills, and offers views over Leicestershire and beyond.
Race headquarters are at Hoby & District village hall, offering bag storage, toilet facilities, number collection and on-the-day entries if places remain. Car parking will be provided on Church Field, Thrussington Road, Hoby, LE14 3EB. The event is limited to 200 entrants.
Online entries close on 30/09/2026. The minimum age is 12 years. Entry transfers remain possible until the evening before race day. Deferrals are permitted if organisers are informed at least 24 hours before race day or, in emergencies, within one hour before a race. On-the-day availability for places is confirmed after online entries close three days before race day.
Prizes are awarded in multiple categories including first male, first female, veteran and junior categories, and first mixed team. Prizes are also available for breaking course records, and all finishers receive a 10th anniversary commemorative wooden medal.
