Hedgehog Half Marathon 2026
The Hedgehog Half Marathon is an all on road half marathon held around Normanby Hall Country Park in North Lincolnshire. The main distance is 13.1 miles and the route passes through several picturesque villages with views out to the Humber Bridge and across the river. The course uses a mix of partially closed roads and quiet country roads. Local villagers and event staff provide roadside support and encouragement.
The event also supports Andrew's Hedgehog Hospital to raise awareness and funds for hedgehog rescue and care. A virtual entry option is available so participants can complete the 13.1 miles remotely and still support the charity.

About the event
This all on road half marathon see’s runners taking in the very picturesque villages and views of North Lincolnshire. We know it’s 13.1 miles and will be a challenge, but it is 100% the prettiest half marathon ever with views out to the Humber Bridge and across the river. The views, your fellow runners and our supporting villagers and team make for a bit of distraction and lot’s of encouragement along the way! The event has part road closures and part running on quiet country roads. And of course it’s not called the hedgehog half for no reason!.. we work with the amazing team at Andrews Hedgehog Hospital to help raise awareness of the work they do and of course make sure the charity get’s some much needed money. Virtual option? Yup, if you can't join us on the day then you can run your 13.1 miles for the Hedgehogs anytime, anywhere. You'll be supporting Andrews Hedgehog Hospital and still received the awesome medal! Just select the virtual option on the entry page. We're very happy to be working with local charity Andrew's Hedgehog Hospital once again to help raise awareness of these fabulous animals and support fundraising towards the amazing work this army of volunteers do.
