About the race
The Heartbeat Ultra is a sponsored loop run where participants decide when their run ends. The event takes place on November 21, 2026, flexibly from 06:00 to 21:00. The course is a donation loop of up to 112 km on a approx. 6 km loop. There is also a "Mitmach-Ultra" for children with half a heart, where children decide when to start, pause, and end their run/walk. The event is open to everyone, from beginners to ambitious ultra-runners, and wheelchair users are also welcome. Each step supports children with half a heart (Fontan hearts), promoting hope, research, and joy of life in collaboration with the Fontanherzen e.V. association.
How donations work: Each participant's registration fee is 100% donation. A personal fundraising page is created upon registration, which can be shared to collect donations per kilometer or a fixed amount. For example, a supporter might donate €1 per kilometer, and if the runner completes 24 rounds, they donate €24. The more kilometers and supporters, the more donations are raised. The 400-meter children's run in the stadium is counted per lap.
