Event Overview
The Healthy Kids Running Series takes place at the D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA at Cypress Creek in Houston, TX. This five-week running program offers children opportunities to participate in races that suit their age groups.
Event Schedule
The series occurs on the following dates: November 3, 10, 17, 24, December 1, 2024. A makeup date is scheduled for December 8, 2024.
Course Information
- PreK 2/3 Yr Old: 50 Yard Dash
- PreK 4/5 Yr Old: 75 Yard Dash
- Kindergarten & 1st Grade: 1/4 Mile
- 2nd & 3rd Grade: 1/2 Mile
- 4th & 5th Grade: 1 Mile
- 6th to 8th Grade: 1 Mile
- Challenger Division: 75 Yard Dash
Each participant will earn points based on their finishing position in each race.
Pricing
The registration fee for the entire series is $45-$50 for most races. A single-day race is available for $20. Pricing includes race bibs, a runner shirt, a finisher medal, and sponsor giveaways.
Awards
All participants will receive a medal during the final week of the series. Trophies will be awarded to the top finishers in each division.
