Event Overview
The Headwaters Trail Runs feature three exciting trail running events: 56k, 31k, and 10k races held in the Klamath Mountains west of Mount Shasta City, California. Runners will traverse scenic mountain trails and enjoy the clean mountain air amidst historic landscapes.
Course Details
- 56k: Approximately 8,400 feet of elevation gain, entirely on single-track trails and dirt forest roads.
- 31k: Includes about 4,100 feet of elevation gain with stunning loop courses.
- 10k: A relatively flat course with ~400 feet of total gain, set on the serene Lake Siskiyou Trail.
Awards
Top 3 male and female finishers overall will receive special awards, as well as the top 3 finishers in each 10-year age group.
Registration Fees
- 56K: $103.43 (increases to $125.97 after Mar 31)
- 31K: $82.18 (increases to $98.12 after Mar 31)
- 10K: $39.68 (increases to $45.00 after Mar 31)
Registration includes race entry, a t-shirt, finisher's medal, and a hearty meal after the race.
Additional Information
The event is cupless, encouraging runners to carry their own hydration methods. Participants are encouraged to bring reusable items to minimize waste.
