Take on HARP24
Whether you run solo or as a team, your mission is simple: run as far as you can in 24 hours. Take on the challenge solo, as a pair, or as a team of up to 12. Cover as many laps of our beautiful 8km route through the Essex countryside.
HARP24 isn’t your average race. There’s no set distance to hit, no pressure to keep pace — just you, your teammates, and 24 hours on the clock. Run a lap, rest, refuel, then go again. It’s as much about grit and camaraderie as it is about the miles.
And the best bit? HARP24 is a charity race, so every single pound you raise goes directly towards helping people affected by homelessness in Essex. Every lap you complete doesn’t just test your limits — it makes a real difference to someone who needs it.
Whether you’re a seasoned ultra-runner or someone who just wants to give it a go with a group of mates, there’s a place for you at HARP24. Lace up, sign up, and see how far you can go.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to run for 24 hours?
No! You take breaks whenever you like. You can camp onsite from Friday evening and throughout the weekend there will be food, drinks, entertainment and a chance to mingle with fellow runners.
Can I bring a dog?
Runners are allowed to run the course with dogs on leads, but please be mindful of others. Well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome in the camping area under supervision.
What is the minimum age to race?
The minimum age for participants to take part in HARP24 is aged 16. Unfortunately there is no flexibility on this.
Can I defer my entry?
Yes we can defer your place to next year, that’s not a problem. We will make a note of your order and automatically add you to next year’s list. Please note you are only able to defer a maximum of one time, unless in exceptional circumstances. There is no charge for deferring.
Are there toilets and showers?
Yes there will be toilets and showers on site for all runners to use. You can use these free of charge.
Is there food to buy at the event or will I need to bring/cook my own?
There will be food trucks on site, so you’ll have plenty of options to buy food. However, it’s always a good idea to bring something for breakfast or supper if you’d prefer not to spend too much.
