Hambledon Hilly - 11th Edition
Come and join us for our 11th edition of the Hambledon Hilly, a trail running event for the whole family from 1km to 20km in the beautiful South Downs National Park.
The Hambledon Hilly returns to the stunning Hambledon Vineyard, England's oldest commercial vineyard, on 19 September 2026. At race HQ within the Hambledon Wine Estate, the vineyard team will be serving high-quality food and beverages, including its award winning sparkling wine. We are hoping that runners, families, volunteers and supporters will stay with us right through into the afternoon to enjoy the event and help us raise money for the Brain Tumour Research and the Hambledon Primary School.
The main vineyard visitors centre will also be open on the day for tours, tasting and dining. Bookings should be made well in advance at www.hambledonvineyard.co.uk

Courses
- 1K: Confined to footpaths and trails within the Hambledon Vineyard Estate. Well marshalled and children may be accompanied by an adult at no extra cost. Timed with trophies for first, second and third places for boys and girls.
- 2K: Confined to footpaths and trails within the Hambledon Vineyard Estate. Well marshalled and children may be accompanied by an adult at no extra cost. Timed with trophies for first, second and third places for boys and girls.
- 5K: On quiet lanes, beautiful trails, through the heart of the Hambledon village and with the last part on the estate. Well marked and marshalled with trophies for first, second and third places for men and women.
- 10K: On quiet lanes, beautiful trails, through the heart of the Hambledon village and with the last part on the estate. There will be a water station halfway through the race. Well marked and marshalled with trophies for first, second and third places for men and women.
- Hambledon Trail 20km: A self-sufficient and self-navigated run for the trail purist. Course markings will be sparse and marshals will only be at busy road crossings. There will be a mandatory kit list including the route downloaded on a watch and/or phone, water and gear according to the weather. Trophies for first, second and third places for men and women.

Parking: Available on the estate and marshals will direct you.
Race HQ: In the big white marquee behind the Vineyard Restaurant.
The Start: At race HQ. Race numbers to be collected at the start from 8:30 AM.
Starting times: Trail 20km 9:30 AM, 1km 9:35 AM, 2km 9:50 AM, 10km 10:30 AM, 5km 10:45 AM.
Prize giving: 10:15 AM for 1km and 2km; 12:00 PM for adult races.
All races are chip timed and all runners will receive a momento. Trophies for first, second and third places for both genders in all races.
