Half Moon Bay Beach Safety Run
The Half Moon Bay Beach Safety Run will take place on Sunday, September 21, at the Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay, located at 4000 Cabrillo Hwy N, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019. This destination event will host a 5K (3.1 mile) and 10K (6.2 mile) courses that will showcase the beautiful Pacific coastline of Half Moon Bay, Pillar Point Harbor and its docks of colorful fishing boats, ever-present ocean views from the Pillar Point Marsh Trail, and of course the refreshing salty sea breeze. A noncompetitive Kids Fun Run (1/4 Mile) for ages 10 and under will conclude the morning.
The event is organized by and a benefit for the Arunay Foundation, who is committed to reducing beach accidents and coastal drownings by raising awareness and educating people about sneaker waves, rip currents, and other hazardous beach conditions. Their goal is to equip our beaches with “Life Rings” and keep our communities informed about unsafe weather conditions. All proceeds from this event will be used by the Arunay Foundation to support their programs that improve beach safety.
