Gleno Vertical
The Gleno Vertical is a challenging 5km trail race with 600m of elevation gain, set to take place in the picturesque town of Vilminore di Scalve, Italy, on Friday, July 17, 2026. The race starts at Piazza Vittorio Veneto and winds its way towards Bueggio, following the CAI 410 trail that leads to the Gleno Dam.
Participants will experience a unique run to the illuminated Gleno Dam, offering breathtaking views and a memorable experience.
Program
- 19:00/20:15: Bib and race pack collection at Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Vilminore di Scalve (BG).
- 20:30: Race start from Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Vilminore di Scalve (BG).
- 22:00: Award ceremony at the Gleno Dam.
- 22:30: Event closing.
Prizes
The first three male and first three female finishers will receive prizes in kind.
Participation Requirements
The event is open to all and aims to promote and encourage participation in competitive trail running. Participation is encouraged for ages 10 to 18. The race adheres to CSEN regulations.
Registration
The registration fee is 15 euros. Registration is online via the provided link. By registering, participants accept the terms and conditions, releasing organizers and sponsors from liability for injuries or damages.
The registration includes a bib, race pack, on-course assistance, and a final refreshment.
Note: There is no shower service or bag drop. Return to the start is at the participant's own responsibility.
Mandatory Equipment
- Trail running shoes.
- Headlamp for the return journey.
- K-way (rain jacket).
Participants must wear the bib visibly at all times. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. No modifications to the bib are allowed.
Environmental Policy
The race is self-sufficient in terms of hydration and nutrition and adheres to the "IO NON GETTO I MIEI RIFIUTI" campaign. Participants must respect the environment and natural spaces. Littering is strictly prohibited, and cutting trails is forbidden to prevent erosion.
Athlete Obligations
- Use adequate trail running equipment.
- Carry a headlamp and K-way.
- Do not be accompanied by non-registered runners.
- Wear the bib visibly and without modifications.
- Report any withdrawal to the nearest control point and return the bib.
- Follow the marked course.
- Do not use headphones.
