Girvan Half Marathon

The Girvan Half Marathon is a measured country course that runs from Girvan to Dailly and back. The course holds a Scottish Athletics Limited (SAL) Certificate of Accuracy and is held under SAL permit and rules.
Eligibility: Runners must be over 17 years old on the day. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs. Running with buggies or pets is not permitted. Headphones are not allowed except for bone conduction devices.
Hydration: There are four water stops on the course. Runners are advised to check weather conditions and be self-prepared for hydration.
Facilities: Changing facilities, including showers, are available in the Hamilton Park Pavilion. Refreshments will be available for runners and families.
Entry: Limited to 150 places. Online entries close on 5 July 2026. Late entries may be accepted on the day if the maximum has not been reached. Entry fees are non-refundable. Transfers of entry to another runner are permitted free of charge up until two weeks before the race via the event entry system.
Prizes: Awards for 1st to 3rd male and female overall, plus age-category prizes for 40, 50, 60, and 70 (first male and female in each category). One prize per person.
