The Berkshire Ultra Running Community for Service (BURCS) presents the 2024 Free to Run Trail Races, supporting Free to Run, Inc. The event aims to empower women and girls in conflict-affected regions through sports programs and community outreach.

The Basics

Date: September 14, 2024
Distances: 15k/25k/50k/50 mile
Start Times: 50 Miler, 6:00AM. All other distances, 8:00 AM
Location: Pittsfield State Forest, Pittsfield MA

Course

The course is designed to be challenging, featuring long climbs, fast descents, and beautiful scenery. Runners can choose from 15k, 25k, 50k, or 50-mile distances.

Cutoffs

50-mile race must be completed within 15 hours. Two hard cutoffs apply.

Aid Stations

Two major aid stations and two water drops along the course. Runners are expected to carry water and calories.

Awards and Shirts

Finishers will receive awards. Early registrants receive shirts.

Camping

Campsites available in Pittsfield State Forest with showers and bathrooms.

We reserve the right to convert to a virtual event if necessary. No refunds except for pregnancy deferrals.
