Firecracker 5k/1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
Race Start Times: 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Race will begin at 8:30am
Race Location: Kenosha Library Park, 711 59th Place, Kenosha, WI 53140
Parking: Public parking lots and on-street parking are available. Please follow all posted signs and do not park in unauthorized lots.
Race Course: This closed race course is USATF certified and runs along Kenosha’s scenic lake front harbor and historic district with 3 water stations. A detailed course map is available at www.kenoshaymca.org/specialevents/firecracker.
Race Timing: ONLY THE 5K IS CHIP TIMED. The chip is located on the bib. The bib must be worn front and center on your t-shirt for accurate timing.
Race SWAG: T-shirts & participant medals will be given to the first 600 entrants. Size preferences cannot be guaranteed and are given in order of registration date.

- Pre-registration (Online ONLY) $23: March 1st-31st (Early Bird)
- $28: April 1st-April 30th
- $33: May 1st - May 31st
- $38: June 1st - June 25th
- No registration on June 26th
- "Last Chance" Registration: $48 (in person at the Kenosha YMCA only) on Saturday June 27th, 9am-2pm.
- No Race Day Registration.
Race entry fees are non-refundable.

Awards:
Awards Ceremony: Held immediately after the race. Awards for 5K ONLY. Trophies awarded to the male & female winner. Award Medals to top 3 male/female in both races for 14 & under, 5 year age groups, and 80+. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Finisher medals will be available at the Finish Line. Awards will not be mailed and must be picked up at the Kenosha Y Member Service Desk until Sunday, July 14th.
Results:
Live posted results will be available online. Results URL will be provided on race day. Individual results will also be posted online at www.kenoshaymca.org after race completion. Overall results are printed in the Kenosha News. This race is timed and scored by J3 Timing.

GENERAL RACE GUIDELINES: All race decisions of the Firecracker officials prevail on event day. All Runners age 10 and under must be accompanied by a registered "Running Buddy." Runners must wear their bib numbers on front of their bodies. For your safety, headsets and ear buds are highly discouraged. No bicycles, roller-skates/blades or skateboards. Baby strollers are allowed in the 5K and 1 Mile and must stay behind runners; no dogs. No unauthorized assistance or unsportsmanlike conduct. No foul, harsh, argumentative language or actions directed at officials, volunteers, spectators or fellow athletes. Each participant should be checked by a physician prior to competing, as stated in waiver form. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES allowed in the park. Participants are responsible for following the course and all directional signage & arrows; any deviation from the course disqualifies you from award categories.
RACE DAY WEATHER POLICY: The Kenosha YMCA's primary goal is to ensure a safe event. Decisions regarding race cancellation/modifications will be based on the safety of all involved. The Y reserves the right to cancel or modify the race if deemed necessary. Since race staging incurs substantial up-front expenses, cancellation or modification will not result in refunding race entry fees or future race credits. If the race is canceled, you will receive a donation acknowledgment from the Kenosha YMCA. SEVERE WEATHER CONDITIONS INCLUDE: Thunderstorms, Lightning, Extreme Heat & Humidity, High Winds, Heavy Rain, and/or poor air quality.
