Festive 10K - Cardiff
The Festive 10K is scheduled for Sunday 13th December 2026 in Cardiff. This chip-timed event offers online entries with a minimum age of 15 on the day. Entry fees are £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for non-affiliated runners. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 9th December 2026, or when the entry limit is reached.
Race headquarters and number collection will be at the Scout Hall, Pontcanna Fields car park, Fields Park Road, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9LB, open from 08:00 to 09:00. While there is no formal cut-off time, participants are expected to complete the course within 90 minutes (approximately 14.5 minutes per mile). Tea, coffee, and cake will be available after the run.
Parking is available at several nearby locations, but capacity is limited. Participants are advised to check local parking restrictions and not to use the Scout Hall parking bays. Nearby parking includes Pontcanna Fields (CF11 9LB), Llandaff Fields (CF11 9QJ), Sophia Gardens (CF11 9XR), and Llandaff Rugby Club (CF5 2AZ).
Course Details
The course is a riverside route. It starts near the stables, runs down the Spine Road towards town, turns left onto the cross path to Blackweir bridge, then follows the river path to Millennium Bridge. After crossing the bridge, the course heads towards the College of Music and Drama, proceeds through the crossroads to the parkrun start and finish area. The turnaround point is at the triangle by the A48 underpass, and the route retraces back to the Spine Road and the finish line. A drink station is located just after the turnaround at 5 km.
