FatShoe - January 9, 2027
FatShoe is a winter sports event organized by Bush Babes in Vernon, British Columbia, held on the Fat Bike trails at Silver Star Mountain Resort (BX Creek and Knoll trail system). The event offers both solo and team formats and includes fat bike and snowshoe options.
Offered distances and formats:
- 16 km solo
- 16 km team
- Fat bike: rider loop approximately 11 km
- Snowshoe: loop approximately 5.5 km
- Kids snowshoe: 2.5 km loop
Relay participants register individually and include their team's name during registration; relay legs must be confirmed prior to race day. The event is timed while emphasizing participation and enjoyment, and the kids event allows parents to join their child free of charge. After the courses, participants are offered food and warm beverages including hot dogs, coffee, hot chocolate, fire pits, and s'mores. Kids Snowshoe Event
Yes, we are hosting a Children's 2.5km Snowshoe Race, specifically designed to introduce young runners to the joys of snowshoeing in a supportive and fun environment. This event is part of our commitment to helping athletes of all ages reach their potential while enjoying the beauty of trail running in winter. It's a non-competitive race that focuses on participation and enjoyment, ensuring that children experience the thrill of the sport without the pressure of competition. FATSHOE, a Fat Bike/Snowshoe race that can be done Solo or as a Team duathlon, Solo Fat Bike, or Solo Snowshoe.The course is a super fun 11km Fat Bike and 5.5 km snowshoe race located on the Fat Bike trails of Silver Star Mountain Resort where we offer an exciting Fat Bike and Snowshoe event. Our event caters to both solo participants and teams, allowing you to challenge yourself and your friends. This event is held on the scenic Silver Star Mountain Resort BX Creek, Knoll trail system. Whether you prefer going it alone or teaming up with friends, FatShoe provides an excellent opportunity for the winter enthusiast to push their limits and enjoy a fun winter environment. Join in this fun event and reach your potential while enjoying the beautiful surroundings and camaraderie of fellow sport enthusiasts.Once you have completed your courses we will be waiting for you with hot dog, coffee, hot chocolate, fire pits, and S'mores for you to enjoy.
