Fat Dog 120 Trail Race
The Fat Dog 120 team is passionate about equipping people to reach their life goals. No matter what distance, it is our commitment to come alongside every racer and get them to the finish line. We strive to achieve this by offering a hospitable, inclusive, memorable and fun event that is also extremely challenging. Fatdog 120 is also very active in the maintenance and care of the extensive trail network that is used for our event. We recognize that it is a great privilege to run on these trails and it is one way of giving back to the outdoor community at large. Many of the trails incorporated have rich history connected to the area now known as British Columbia.
Course Overview
Beginning in the community of Keremeos, BC, and finishing in iconic E.C. Manning Provincial Park, the course is 124 Miles long, incorporating a point-to-point style route. Cumulative elevation gain is approximately 26,000 feet or just under 8000 meters. The majority of the course is run on very remote technical single track trail. Much of it is far from road access and will take you through some of the absolute most scenic parts of southwestern British Columbia. You will travel from valley bottoms up into high sub-alpine terrain with many panoramic views along the way.

The point-to-point route is approximately 124 miles long with cumulative elevation gain around 26,000 feet (about 8,000 m). Most of the course is remote, technical single track with five distinct climbs, a river crossing at the Pasayten River (guide rope provided), and about 13 miles of road (paved and gravel). Overall cutoff time is 48 hours.
The 100 km course starts at the Cascade Rest Area, follows the Skagit Bluffs trail then joins the later section of the 120 mile route. Total gain is approximately 14,000 feet (4,000 m) with about 8 miles of road. Overall cutoff time is 26 hours.
