Epney Trail Run
The Epney Trail Run is a small-scale, community trail race in the village of Epney, Gloucestershire. The route covers approximately 10 miles (16 km) with around 70 m of elevation gain and starts and finishes near The Anchor Inn.
The course is a clearly marked circular route that follows the Gloucester to Sharpness Canal towpath and local public footpaths, including sections of the Severn Way. The terrain is predominantly flat and off road, with a mix of towpath and trail surfaces. Underfoot conditions may vary with weather and may include uneven or muddy sections. A GPX file of the route will be provided in advance for reference.
The event is marshalled at key points and includes one aid station approximately halfway. First aid provision will be in place; participants are responsible for their own safety and should be prepared for trail conditions. The minimum age to enter is 17 on the day of the race. The event will be licensed by the Trail Running Association and held in accordance with the rules of UK Athletics.
At least £3 from every entry supports the Canal & River Trust. Entry fees and entry period are set by the organiser, with an early bird reduction available for the first entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
The race will start at 10:00, with a final cut-off time of 3 hours. All participants must finish by 13:00.
