Eddie's Revenge Fell Race 2026
Eddie's Revenge is a short fell race held on Wednesday 24 June 2026 in Brushes Clough Country Park near Shaw, Oldham. The course is listed as Category A/S with a distance of 6.1 km / 3.8 miles and total ascent 323 m / 1050 ft. The route runs over moorland and forest trails with rough moorland paths; some sections can be muddy in poor weather. The course features numerous ascents and descents and includes a steep shale covered descent near the end of the first lap.
Entries are pre-entry only with fees of £7.00 for Fell Running Association members and £8.00 for non members. Number and chip collection take place at St Saviours Church, Buckstones Road, Shaw OL2 8NB and the race start is at Shore Edge Methodist Church, Buckstones Road, Shaw, Oldham OL2 8LX. Minimum age is 16 and under 18s are accepted only with a signed parental consent form available at registration. Toilet facilities are available at the registration location and parking is available at Brushes Clough Quarry off Buckstones Road.
The race is held under Fell Running Association competition rules. The course is not a parkland or trail event and crosses exposed open moorland. Parts of the route are only partially marked so some navigational experience may be required.
