East Devon Round 2027
The East Devon Round is a trail running weekender held from April 30th to May 2nd, 2027, at Offwell Village Hall, near Honiton. This event is more than just a race; it's an experience where ordinary people achieve extraordinary feats.
Run through rolling countryside, ancient woodland, Iron Age forts, and the dramatic Jurassic Coast. The event offers a community atmosphere that feels like home.
The Weekend Experience
- Friday: Arrive, Settle, Connect. Camping opens at Event HQ (Offwell Village Hall), race number collection, and a Friday night feast with a "My Running Stories" talk.
- Saturday: Race Day. Choose from 110km, 65km, 50km, or 25km routes. Fully supported, fully immersive trail experience. These are UTMB Index Races.
- Sunday: Recover & Celebrate. Enjoy a Big Breakfast, the East Devon Mini Round, stories, smiles, and tired legs.
Stay at Event HQ
Camp on-site at Offwell Village Hall to wake up in the heart of the event, feel the buzz before the start, and walk straight to the start line. Three days of food and drink are provided.
Travel & Logistics
Perfect for runners travelling from afar. There is a direct train line from London & Exeter, with mini-bus shuttles from Honiton to the event HQ for participants traveling by public transport. Travel Friday, Race Saturday, Relax Sunday.
Ruby Red Running is a Community Interest Company, donating profits back to local and national charities and community projects.

Overview
This trail ultra features 64 miles of stunning Devon countryside, passing through 3 National Landscapes, the world-famous Lyme Regis and Jurassic Coast, Iron Age forts, bluebell-lined tracks, and many hills. With well-stocked aid stations and friendly marshals, participants are well looked after. All finishers receive a t-shirt, medal, and a warm meal at the Event HQ.

Age Requirements
Following the age/distance guidance of England Athletics and the Trail Runners Association:
- U12: Age under 12 years --> 3km
- U14: Age 12-13 years --> 5km
- U16: Age 14-15 years --> 6km
- U18: Age 16-17 --> 25km
- U20: Age 18-19 --> 45km
- Age 20 and over --> No maximum distance
Event Timing
HQ & Camping opens Friday 30th April 2027. Races start on Saturday 1st May 2027. HQ closes midday on Sunday 2nd May 2027.
