Deveron Harrier's Festival of Running
Date: Sunday 09 August 2026
This multi-terrain running festival features a Deveron Valley Half Marathon, a 10k, a 5k trail, and a junior 1k fun run. The routes follow the River Deveron from Turriff toward Banff, incorporating road and woodland sections.
Races:
- Deveron Valley Half Marathon: Starts in Turriff, predominantly follows a quiet road along National Cycle Route 1, enters a woodland trail, crosses the Bridge of Alvah, and finishes at Duff House Rugby Club. (Ages 17+)
- Deveron Valley 10k: Joins the half marathon route at Castle Eden. (Ages 15+)
- Deveron Valley Trail 5k: A trail run through the grounds of Duff House, starting and finishing at the Rugby pavilion. (Ages 11+)
- Juniors 1k Fun Run: Takes place within Duff House playing pitches and woods. (Starts at 13:30)
Race Operations and Facilities:
- Registration at Duff House Rugby Club pavilion.
- Bus transport to start locations for the Half Marathon and 10k.
- Toilet facilities at registration and briefing locations.
- Car parking available.
- Mile markers and marshals on the route.
- Multiple water stations (at miles 3, 7, 9, and 11, with an additional Warthogs water station).
- Medals for all finishers.
Prizes and Categories:
- Half Marathon: 1st £70, 2nd £40, 3rd £25 (Men & Women). Category prizes for 40+, 50+, and 60+ (Men & Women).
- 10k: 1st £50, 2nd £25, 3rd £15 (Men & Women). Category prizes for 40+, 50+, and 60+ (Men & Women).
- 5k: 1st £30, 2nd £20, 3rd £15 (Men & Women). Category prizes for 40+, 50+, and 60+ (Men & Women).
Important Information:
- Online entry closes 2 August 2026.
- No refunds; transfers must be completed by 6 August 2026.
- Use of music devices is allowed, but headphones must be removed at road crossings or when instructed by marshals.
