About the race
The Desítka v Bezručáku is a traditional road running race of 10 kilometers that will take place in Chomutov on Saturday, January 9, 2027. The race winds through the beautiful natural landscape of Bezručovo údolí, a protected natural park known for its scenic beauty and the rare spotted salamander, which is also the race mascot. The course starts and finishes at ZŠ Heyrovského. The first half of the route involves a gradual ascent, followed by a pleasant descent in the second half. Runners will pass the monument of the poet Petr Bezruče. The turnaround point for the 10 km race is located shortly after the First Mill.
The race has a long tradition, with the first event dating back to 1976. Runners can expect a challenging yet rewarding course through a forested valley on the outskirts of Chomutov.

Registration and Fees
The race has a capacity of 300 runners. Registration is available via the online form at https://sokotime.cz/zavod-230107. On-site registration may be available if the capacity is not reached, but pre-registration is recommended. Payments for pre-registration must be made via bank transfer by January 3, 2024. On-site registrations, if available, can be paid in cash or by card.
Entry Fee: 300 Kč. A portion of this fee (50 Kč) will be donated to support local facilities in Chomutov.
What's Included
- A commemorative medal for all finishers.
- Refreshments at the finish line (water, banana, or other partner offerings) and an aid station on the course (water, isotonic drink).
- Changing rooms and showers will be available at ZŠ Akademika Heyrovského.
Post-Race
- Awards Ceremony: Expected to start at 13:00 in the ZŠ Akademika Heyrovského canteen.
- Photos and Results: Will be available on the website and Facebook page after the race.
Important Note: Participants compete at their own risk. Traffic will be limited only in the finish straight. Runners must exercise caution and adhere to traffic rules on the rest of the course, which may be open to traffic.
