We’re thrilled to partner with Castle Triathlon Club of Prudhoe and Northumbrian Water to bring back our popular Sprint & Standard Triathlons at the beautiful Derwent Reservoir near Consett!

About the Venue
Derwent Reservoir, located on the Durham/Northumberland border, is a stunning site owned by Northumbrian Water. The triathlon will be held on the south side of the reservoir.
- Swim: In the clear, calm waters of the reservoir
- Cycle: Quiet, scenic country lanes
- Run: Flat(ish) paths and trails

Ideal for everyone—from first-timers to seasoned athletes. No cut-off times. Relay options available for all events!
Sprint Triathlon

Wetsuit Policy
We anticipate that water temperatures will be warm enough to make wetsuits optional. However, we do recommend wearing a wetsuit for comfort and buoyancy, especially for less experienced swimmers.
Transition Area
- Secure and competitors-only
- Your Race Number & Bike Number must match your Racking Number
- Small bags or boxes allowed
- You must wear your helmet and have your bike number attached before entering
- Post-race, bike and bib numbers will be checked before exiting
Timing
Live chip-timing provided by Timing Up North.
Finish Line
All finishers will receive:
- A Derwent Triathlon Medal
- Wild Deer merchandise
- A snack & drink

Parking
Parking is available at Derwent Waterside Park for all participants and is charged at £3 per vehicle. Please note there is a 10–15 minute walk from the car park to the event area.
