Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series (August)
Welcome to the 2026 edition of the Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series, presented by Seattle Running Club and Northwest Trail Runs. A portion of every entry supports King County Parks.
Race Details for August 8:
Course: 14.5 Miles & 26.2 Miles
Start Times: 8:30 AM for 14.5 and 26.2 miles, 9:00 AM for 5K
Cut-off Time: 4:00 PM
Series Information:
The series consists of races in May, June, July, and August. Awards are given for the best 3 out of 4 races in the Short Series and Long Series categories. Top overall Man, Woman, and Nonbinary runners receive awards and free entry into next year's series.
Race Highlights:
- Well-marked trails suitable for all experience levels.
- A strong sense of community among trail runners.
- Post-race food and beverages, including beer from Flying Lion Brewery.
- Proceeds benefit King County Parks.

Important Notes:
- Online registration closes the Wednesday before each event. Day-of registration may be available.
- There are NO REFUNDS.
- No dogs are allowed on the course due to insurance requirements.
- The event is cup-free; please bring your own refillable water container.
This event is held on the traditional lands of the Muckleshoot, Duwamish, Stillaguamish, Snoqualmie, and Coast Salish peoples.
