City Summer Triathlon (USAT Sanctioned)
Welcome to City Summer Triathlon! We're excited to announce our City Summer Triathlon taking place at the famous Rockaway Beach in Queens! Featuring stunning ocean vistas and a smooth concrete boardwalk, it offers an ideal route for swimming, biking and running. Rain or shine, the race will go on, so be sure to arrive early to familiarize yourself with the course and event setup.
Race Details
Race Date and Time: August 1st, Saturday, starting at 7:00 AM. Cut-off time is 9:30 AM. Awarding ceremony 10 minutes after the top-3 Women finish.
Race Location: Shore Front Pkwy & Beach 84th St, Far Rockaway, NY 11693.
Race Course: 0.3mi swim in the Atlantic Ocean. Run is on the boardwalk: 3 miles. Bike is 2 laps on the boardwalk, total 11.6 miles. Transition area is by Beach 84th street bus stop. See maps on the bottom of the page.
Registration and Requirements
Check-in begins 1 hour and ends 20 minutes before the start time. A USAT racing license is required. Please sign up online to expedite the registration process. Day of registration is available with a $10 late fee.
Race Numbers: Jersey number on the front, bicycle number on the seat post or top tube, helmet number on the front. Markers will be available to draw a number on the left arm and leg for the swim.
Race Results and Awards
Draft results will be available by 8:30 AM. Online results, including transition breakdowns, will be published within 48 hours.
All participants receive a running jersey. Top-3 Men and Women get medals and merchandise. Age group awards may be offered. All other participants receive finisher medals.

Photos will be published within 48 hours on the Verrazano Team Facebook page.
Swim Requirements: Write your race number with a Sharpie on your LEFT arm and leg. Wetsuits are welcome. Shout your number clearly at the transition gate to the timer.
Bicycle Requirements: Any type of bike with brakes is acceptable. Check wind speed if using dish wheels. No rental bikes available.
Parking: Free public parking is available at Beach 94th street.
Water/Restrooms/Trash: Available at the check-in table. Stationary restrooms open by 6 AM.
