CHSFW Rubber Ducky: Half Marathon, 7 Mile and 5K
The event is the 19th annual Rubber Ducky, held Sunday October 18, 2026 at Burnaby Lake Regional Park. The half marathon and 7 Mile routes circle Burnaby Lake counter clockwise. The start and finish area is West Field #2 Grass next to the playground.
The course follows scenic trails through a wildlife sanctuary inside the city. The lake has glacial origins and its shores hosted sawmills in the late 1800s. The course uses approved city permits.

Event features include tag timing that is attached to shoe laces, posted results after the event, two water stations roughly 5K apart on opposite sides of the lake, and overall placing medals for top finishers. The race package, while supplies last, includes a souvenir finishing medal, a Try Events reusable bag and one selectable swag item, individual timing, a race bib, participant insurance and post-race snacks. Awards will be presented as soon as the top 3 fill up in each distance. Bag check available by donation at the charity table near the start/finish. Warm-up / Race morning announcements at 8:45 AM. Course closed 12:00 PM SHARP!
