Chill Session 2026
Chill Session takes place at Mansfield Outdoor Centre in Mulmur. The event offers three trail distances: 10 km, 5 km, and a 1 km kids race for ages 10 and under. The courses are mostly single track; the 10 km has about 220 m of elevation gain and the 5 km about 130 m.
Registration closes November 1, 2026. There are no refunds or deferrals. Registration for the 10 km and 5 km includes a hoodie made in Canada, a medal, plus chili and beer at the finish. The 1 km kids race is free and includes a medal and race bib; chili is available for a small fee.
Course markings use hot pink arrows and flags; the cut for the 5 km is marked to guide runners back down. A self-serve water station is located at the lookout, and a manned aid station at the Inner Loop Junction will offer electrolytes and snacks. This is a cup free event so participants should bring their own cup.
Participants are advised to dress in layers and prepare for wet or snowy conditions; trail shoes are recommended over road shoes for mud or snow. Lunch and beverages are served in the cafe area with meat and vegan options allocated per registration choice. S'mores ingredients will be available for roasting. Raffles will be drawn in person and proceeds will be split among the Clearview, Shelburne and Orangeville Food Banks. Parking is along rows parallel to the main lodge and volunteers will assist with organization. If rain or snow occurs, the event will proceed and indoor space is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Race Kit Pick-up
We’ll be ready for you starting at 9:00am to pick up your hoodies and bibs. Pick up will be located in the log cabin just north of the main lodge – look for the N89 banner and come inside!
Race Briefing
Race briefings will be short and sweet. 10K Race briefing will be at 9:55, the 5K will be at 10:25, and the 1K will be at 11:55. Course markings are hot pink with arrows and flags, the cut of for the 5K will be marked for runners to come back down the hill. Both courses are different from the June Great Mansfield run (no Big Chill and Karen’s Climb!).
Aid Stations
There will be a self serve station at the lookout (water only), and a peopled aid station at the Inner Loop Junction with electrolytes and snacks. This is a CUP-FREE event! Please bring your own – leave no trace!
On Course
We encourage you to dress in layers and have a plan for wet/snow conditions. Road running shoes will likely not cut it in the mud/snow, so consider trail shoes.
Lunch & Beverages
Lunch will be served in the cafe area, starting around 11ish and onwards until everyone has completed their race and had a chance to eat! Meat and vegan options were ordered according to your preference when you registered, so please stick to that so everyone gets their first choice. S’mores ingredients will be available to take outside for roasting over the fires!
The Raffles
We’ve been working with several local businesses to get some awesome prizes together for you! To win you have to be here, so we won’t be starting the draw everyone is in. All proceeds from these draws go to the Clearview, Shelburne and Orangeville Food Banks (split evenly 3 ways). Prizes to be announced!
Rain/Snow Plan
In the event of snow (or rain – we could get either!) everything will proceed as planned. We have the ability to use the indoor space at MOC as last year.
