CELTMAN! Extreme Scottish Triathlon
The fourteenth edition of the CELTMAN! Extreme Scottish Triathlon, part of the XTRI World Tour, will take place on June 13th 2026 in Wester Ross, Scotland. Centred around the stunning ancient Torridon mountains, this race is extreme and competitors may face cold water, strong winds, driving rain, and low visibility. Swim
The water in Loch Shieldaig is cold, consistently cold. The swim course is 3.4K. Athletes can suffer badly from cold. In 2013 a severe storm added to the drama with a strong Southerly pushing the competitors off course.

Bike
The stunning CELTMAN! bike route takes you along some historic single-track passes and wide-open coastal roads. The route includes 2200 metres of climbing and can be affected greatly by our varied weather. It is common to find a strong headwind on the last third of the course.

Run
The CELTMAN! run is unsurpassed for its challenging nature and beauty, ascending over 1600 metres. You will attempt two Munros (mountains over 3000 ft) on the Beinn Eighe range. Weather permitting, you will have incredible vistas.
RUN 42km with 1600m ascent over two Munros.
Qualification
CELTMAN! 1st and 2nd Males and Females will automatically qualify for the 2027 XTRI World Championship race at Norseman. Celtman earns 100 X-Points.
