Ceiriog Canter
The Ceiriog Canter is a community-organised fell race based at the Canolfan Ceiriog Centre in Glyn Ceiriog, run in the Ceiriog Valley. The event listed for 26 September 2026 is classified as Category (BM) B Medium and covers approximately 11.6 km (7.2 miles) with around 425 m (1,395 ft) of ascent. The route runs from the centre into surrounding hills and moorland and includes steep sections and open terrain; a course map is provided.
Entry on the day is available for a stated fee of £6 with registration beginning at 1pm. Minimum age for competitors is 18; there is no junior race.
Organisers recommend carrying kit in line with WFRA guidance; items specifically mentioned include windproof or waterproof full body cover, hat, gloves, map, compass and whistle. The organisers note that carrying this kit may be required in very poor conditions.

General Advice: Please bring and be prepared to carry appropriate kit as recommended by WFRA (listed in race organisers handbook http://www.wfra.me.uk) windproof full body cover, other body cover appropriate for the weather conditions (eg waterproof full body cover, hat, gloves etc), map (will be provided), compass, whistle. Carrying this kit will be a requirement if conditions are very poor.
