Description
The Cascade Express Marathon is one of the fastest marathon courses in the country, a top 10 Boston Qualifier with a BQ rate over 34%. It features 26.2 miles of scenic downhill with views of the Cascade Mountains and Keechelus Lake. The Cascade Express Half Marathon offers 13.1 miles of scenic downhill, including a run through the Snoqualmie Tunnel, with 800’ of gradual net downhill.
Packet Pickup
Packet Pickup is on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Snoqualmie Running (38843 SE Newton St, Snoqualmie, WA 98065) from 1pm to 7pm. Race day bib pickup is available for an additional $25 fee if registered by end-of-day Friday.
Marathon Course Profile
Just under 1500 feet gentle downhill loss. The race begins at the Hyak Trail Head at Palouse to Cascades State Park, includes an out and back along a lake, and then enters the 2.4-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel. The course offers 1500 feet of gentle downhill descent across railroad tressels with mountain vistas. USATF certified for a BQ.

- SATURDAY: Parking Lots Opens: 6:00 AM, Race Start: 7:00 AM, Finish Line Opens: 9:30 AM, Finish Line Cut-off: 2:00 PM, Shuttles: 10AM - 2:30 PM
Marathon Race Day Info
- Packet Pick-up & Day of Registration: Available day before at Snoqualmie Running, 1-7pm. Add-on day-of packet pickup for $25.
- Parking: Free parking near the start line at Summit I-90 Ski Area (10 min walk). Hyak Trailhead parking is $10 or free for Washington Discover Pass holders.
- Finish Line: Cedar Falls Trailhead Parking (Palouse to Cascades Trail).
- Shuttle Buses: Runners will be bused back to the start line parking areas from the finish line. Buses run every 30-45 minutes starting around 10 AM.
Half Marathon Course Profile
The race begins at the Hyak Trail Head at Palouse to Cascades State Park. It enters the Snoqualmie Tunnel after half a mile and offers 800’ of gentle downhill descent with mountain vistas. USATF certification number is 17WA002LB.
