Buxton Carnival 4 - 11 July 2026
The Buxton Carnival 4 is an accurately measured 4-mile road race through the streets of Buxton on Carnival Day. The course runs amid crowds lining the streets, starts just ahead of the Carnival procession and finishes on the Market Place. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and has licence number 31407. Race headquarters are at Buxton Conservative Club (what3words ///resides.stirs.shunted) and the race start is on Station Road (what3words ///forklift.warblers.fillers). Competitors should allow at least 10 minutes to get from Race HQ to the start.
Entry is for runners aged 16 and over (age on 10 July 2026). Entries close Fri 10 Jul 2026 18:00. The entry fee for the Carnival 4 Race is £12.00 plus a booking fee of 4.8% (minimum £0.60); UK Athletics members receive a £2 discount on validation. All race numbers must be collected from Race HQ on the day; parents or guardians of participants under 18 must sign to accept the Terms and Conditions and Conditions of Entry when collecting numbers. No refunds or transfers are available. As a condition of entry, competitors agree that personal and medical details may be released by the medical team to the organiser or statutory authorities in a medical emergency. Runners with medical conditions should mark their race number with a large red cross and carry any relevant medication. The race is dedicated to the memory of Thomas Theyer and proceeds will contribute to the Thomas Theyer Foundation at White Hall Outdoor Education Centre.
