Bute Highland Games 10k
The Bute Highland Games 10k is a road race held on 22 August 2026. The course starts and finishes at the Games' Stadium, following the town streets northwards along the coast road. It passes Skeoch Woods and Ardbeg Point before reaching Port Bannatyne, then returns to the Stadium. The route offers scenic views over the Clyde estuary, Loch Striven, and the Kyles of Bute, traversing beautiful Scottish countryside.
A chip to chip timing system embedded in the race number will provide immediate and accurate results. Changing facilities and showers are available at the adjacent Leisure Centre, which closes at 6pm.
Prizes are awarded for various categories, including cash prizes for the top four men and women, fastest veteran men (40+) and women (35+), and the first local man and woman. Special trophies, the Rhubodach Salver and Rhubodach Quaich, are also presented.
