Broken Goat Trail Races
Broken Goat is a set of high-alpine trail races held around Rossland, British Columbia, with starts linked to Red Mountain Resort and routes that traverse alpine ridgelines and peaks.

The 25 km and 50 km follow the point-to-point "7 Summits" trail and exposed ridges; the 50 km accesses several peaks including Old Glory at 2376 m. Published elevation figures include, for example, the 50 km ascent of 2492 m and descent of 2906 m. The 12 km begins at the base of Red Mountain Resort and climbs to the summit of Red Mountain.
Organizers require mandatory safety gear and conduct random gear checks. Minimum starting hydration and food requirements are specified: 50 km and 25 km require at least 1.5 L of fluid and 400 calories; 12 km requires 1 L and 200 calories. The event is cupless; participants must carry their own cup or hydration reservoir. Aid stations act as mandatory checkpoints and include remote sites such as Granite Mountain and Reservoir; drop bags are available to 50 km runners at specified stations. Crew access is limited to designated locations and pacers are not allowed. Participation requires completion of two release/waiver agreements.
