Welcome to BRIGHT Run!
BRIGHT Run is a family-friendly event that raises funds for local breast cancer research in Hamilton. It is a non-competitive walk or run offered on two distances at Christie Lake Conservation Area, held each year on the first Saturday after Labour Day.
All participant-raised funds go directly to local research projects administered by the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation. The event is entirely volunteer powered and community partners cover organizing and hosting expenses.
Concrete event details include 24 funded research projects to date, with two new projects in 2025, and attendance figures of 1 700 participants and 200 volunteers at the 2025 event. The organizers publish an annual fundraising goal and report the amount raised during the campaign.
