Breezy in Brighouse & Special Solstice Run
The event takes place alongside the Calder & Hebble navigation canal in Brighouse. The exact venue is to be confirmed, but the route runs mainly on canal towpath and is an out-and-back course that passes through a green, riverside stretch. The start location will be central to Brighouse and parking is available; parking in the pub's field is charged at £5 and proceeds go to the pub. Car sharing is recommended.
There are four distances on offer:
- 5 km Summer Solstice, two separate runs
- 10 km
- Half marathon
- Marathon
Entry fees range from £16 to £42 depending on distance. The event has a 6.5 hour cut off. Feed stations are normally placed at around every three miles and provide drinks and food; organisers aim to be cup-less so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Marshals will be present on the course and finishers receive a bespoke Solstice medal, cake and other goodies. Bibs are issued on the day at registration. The races are licensed by the Trail Running Association. Large over-ear headphones are banned; bone-conducting or single in-ear options are recommended. There may be unmarshalled road crossings on the route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

- Cup-less: Feed stations are normally around every three miles and offer drinks and a range of food, but please bring your own re-usable cup or bottle.
- Headphones: Most of our courses are off-road, but we still prefer you not to wear earphones, and due to on-course incidents, we have taken the decision to ban large over-ear headphones. These block out any other sounds and don't allow runners to hear marshals, vehicles, or other users of the route. If you do need to wear earphones, then please use bone conducting earphones or "one in one out" in-ear pieces. Please note there may will be unmarshalled road crossings.
- Transfers/Deferrals: You can self-serve your transfer on our website upto 1 week before the event.
