Boxing Day Challenge
Welcome to CIRCUIT RUNNING we look forward to welcoming you to our Boxing day challenge.
Start time: 7am. Registration opens at 6:30am. Runners starting before 8am will need a head torch.
Course:
The route is an out-and-back course along the River Thames, measuring 3.28 miles per loop. A 5k option is available with an earlier turn point, and the 10k follows the 5k lap twice. The event also features a 6-hour challenge where participants can run distances from 5k up to an ultra marathon within the time limit. The last lap can be started up to 5:59:59 hrs.
What you get:
Upon finishing, participants receive a bespoke medal and a goody bag.
Facilities:
- Toilets and changing facilities: Available at the rowing club.
- Baggage storage: No official bag drop. Bags can be left at the start/finish line but are unmanned and left at participants' own risk.
- Parking: Available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds (paid parking).
Aid table:
An aid table at the end of each lap provides water, squash, fizzy drinks, and a variety of food.
Consideration for others: The event is held on a public footpath; please be considerate to other path users.
The run is licensed by the TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules.
Maximum distances permitted by age:
- Age 12-13 years: 5,000m
- Age 14-15 years: 6,000m
- Age 16: 10,000m
- Age 17: 25,000m
- Age 18-19: 45,000m
- Age 20 and over: No maximum distance
