Bound for the Sound is a 5k and 10k road race in Old Lyme, CT. Both courses start at popular Sound View Beach in Old Lyme, CT. The 10K is mostly flat with some gently rolling hills. The 5K is very flat and very fast. Both races finish down historic Hartford Avenue facing the beach. Post race food and drink is included in your race entry.
Entry Fees
10K - $25 Before Sept. 16 and $30 thereafter. Entry includes a t-shirt and chip timing. 5K - $25 Before Sept. 16 and $30 thereafter. Entry includes a t-shirt and chip timing. Family Fun Run - $10. Entry includes finisher ribbon. T-shirt not included.
Event Schedule
Registration available (ONLINE ONLY) up to and including race day. Race day check in and bib collection from 7:00 am. 10K race starts at 8 AM. 5K race starts at 8:15 AM. Family Fun Run starts at 9:15 am.
Awards
Top three overall male and female 5K and 10K finishers. Top two male & female 5K and 10k finishers in each age groups: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. Fun Runners will each receive finisher ribbons.

The Run
Both the 10K and 5K races are chip timed with instant results. Scenic course along Long Island Sound. Rain or Shine. Walkers Welcome, need to register to participate, and start on time behind runners.

Race T-shirt for all 5K and 10K participants, please register by Sept. 6 to guarantee first choice size. Free Photos and Parking. Friendly volunteers. Hydration stations on course and at finish.
