Beyond the Lune Skyline Ultra
The Beyond the Lune Skyline Ultra is a challenging single-loop trail event starting and finishing in the heart of Kirkby Lonsdale. Covering 65 km with an ascent of approximately 2000 m, the route primarily follows footpaths and bridleways, with a small section on tarmac.
Participants, who must be 18 or older, are required to self-navigate the entire course using a map or GPS unit. The event includes two checkpoints offering food and water. Mandatory kit includes a rucksack or race vest, trail shoes, waterproofs, hat, gloves, survival bag, map/GPS, compass, whistle, first aid kit, and personal food/water.
The event starts at 7 am and has a cut-off time of 8:30 pm. Finishers receive a celebratory beer and pizza.
