About the Bergstraße-Odenwald 50
The Bergstraße-Odenwald 50 (BO 50 Weinheim) is an outdoor event focused on experiencing the diverse landscapes of the Bergstraße and Vorderer Odenwald regions. It offers three routes: a long distance of approximately 50 kilometers with about 1200 meters of elevation gain, a middle distance of approximately 30 kilometers with about 600 meters of elevation gain, and a short distance of approximately 20 kilometers with about 400 meters of elevation gain. Trail running is possible on the short and middle distance routes.
The event is organized by the B050 organization community and partners. The event center, start/finish area, and bib pickup will be at Schlosshof/Schlosspark Weinheim. Up to 6 aid stations will be available with warm and cold food, drinks, snacks, coffee, and cake, depending on the route length. Participants are advised to carry their own provisions (water, snacks) as needed.
Navigation apps are recommended, and participants should bring a power bank and an offline navigation app. A wellness area with a barrel sauna will be available in the post-finish area.
The finish is open for 12.5 hours after the start of the long distance. Participants can switch to a shorter loop if their condition is insufficient on the day. Minimum times must be met on the routes, especially the long distance, to finish within 12 hours (average speed approx. 4.2 km/h).
