Benarty Hill Race
The Benarty Hill Race is a new midweek hill race organized by Lomond Hill Runners. It takes place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, starting and finishing at RSPB Loch Leven. The race covers 7.93 km with 370 meters of ascent, featuring two main climbs and fast running sections, followed by a descent typical of local races. The route offers fantastic views across Fife and Perthshire and is easily accessible from the M90.
In accordance with Scottish Hill Runners insurance requirements, participants are expected to carry standard kit, a map, and a compass due to potentially variable weather conditions and exposed terrain at the summit. Marshals will be stationed at key locations, and some waymarking will be provided. A route map and GPX file are available on the Lomond Hill Runners website.
For every entry, £3 will be donated to RSPB Loch Leven. Entries are non-refundable; in case of cancellation due to reasons beyond the organizer's control, entries will be carried forward to a rescheduled date. The organizers are not responsible for the loss of clothing or equipment.
This is the inaugural year for the race, with a total of 150 places available. Visit the organizer's website for the most up-to-date information.
