Běh Kolem Ameriky - Písek
The Běh Kolem Ameriky - Písek will take place in Písek on Saturday 17 October 2026. This historic race, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026, is the third oldest running race in the Czech Republic and the oldest cross-country run in the country, dating back to 1925.
Originally organized by S.K. Písek, the race has seen various changes over the years, including the introduction of youth categories, women's races, and its expansion into an international event through collaborations with partner cities in England and Germany. The course, known for its challenging yet beautiful terrain through a pleasant forest environment on soft paths, has remained a constant attraction for runners.
The main race is 10 kilometers long. Historically, other categories like Sprinters (1.800 m) and Příchozí (1.800 m) were also part of the event.
