Beacons Ultra, Beacons Marathon & Beacons Half Marathon
The Beacons Ultra, Beacons Marathon and Beacons Half Marathon take place around the Brecon Beacons on Saturday 7th November 2026. The courses use mixed terrain: trail, mountain, canal and road, arranged as three separate distances.
Held in mid-November, climatic conditions can vary considerably. Past editions have seen bright sunshine through to temperatures around minus 8 degrees, often with rain and mist.
The event is scheduled at the end of the UK ultra season and attracts a wide range of abilities, from world-class competitors to athletes taking part in an ultrarun for the very first time. Organisers and marshals are described as welcoming and supportive.
