Ambiorix Run in Tongeren
The Ambiorix Run will take place on Sunday, September 21, 2026, starting and finishing at Pliniuspark. This race is known for its challenging routes, set in the historical landscape where Ambiorix once battled the Romans.
Race Distances and Details:
- Caesar Trail: A new 21 km trail, mostly off-road with significant elevation gain, covering beautiful areas of Overrepen, Zammelen, and Jesseren.
- 10 km: A challenging course over the rolling roads between Mulken and Piringen.
- 5 km: A relatively flat course, largely within Plinius Park, making it ideal for supporters.
- Kidsrun: A flat 500m course within Plinius Park.
Unique running shirts are available for all Limburg Runs participants and can be ordered via the registration form.

- 08:30: Bib collection for trail pre-registrations
- 10:00: Caesar Trail 21 km start
- 11:00: Bib collection for other pre-registrations
- 11:30: Day registration start
- 12:30: Kidsrun 500m – Caesar Trail award ceremony
- 13:00: 10 km start
- 14:30: 10 km award ceremony
- 15:00: 5 km start
- 16:00: 5 km award ceremony + attendance raffle
Day registrations are possible up to 30 minutes before the start of each race (except for the trail).
Pricing and Registration:
- Kidsrun 500m: €2 (pre-registration and day registration)
- 5 km: Pre-registration €10 / Day registration €13
- 10 km: Pre-registration €10 / Day registration €13
- Trail 21 km: Pre-registration €18 (day registration not possible)
Personalized bibs require registration by September 14, 23:59. Online pre-registration closes on September 19, 23:59.

Parking is available at Pliniusparking (Fonteindreef) or Hal P (Mulkerweg). A bicycle parking is also provided. Lockers and showers are available.
Prizes:
Naturaprizes for the top 3 in age categories (men and women, seniors/+35/+45/+55) for the 5km and 10km races. All kidsrun finishers receive a token. Top 3 men and women in the trail receive a prize. An attendance raffle will be held at 4 PM.
