The 8th Annual 5K Family Fun Day and Obstacle Course will take place on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, at the Amelia Earhart Park. There's something for everyone at this year's Family Fun Day! New this year compete in the fun and challenging Obstacle Course. Jump and dive through the hurdles while family and friends cheer you on.
For those who prefer the more traditional competition, run/walk in the 5k Race. All levels are welcome in both. This event is open to all ages and fitness levels, experienced runners will begin the 5K run at 7 a.m. They will be followed by the general race at 7:30 a.m. The course will go through the special events area at the park and along its perimeters. At 9:00am the 5k race start closes and at 10:00am the 5K awards ceremony will begin.
At the completion of the run/walk, employees and their families will be able to join our community partners and groups with giveaways, prizes, and lots of valuable information. A shopping area with treats and groovy seasonal merchandise will be available as families go through the new Obstacle course to challenge their fitness skills from beginners to advanced in completing the course.
Some of the event highlights include celebrating our 5K racers and IThrive Anniversary, entertainment from Creative Entertainment Group, food and refreshments featuring food trucks and other partners, climbing walls, and fun for the family, giveaways, contests, and more.
Registration closes on November 9th, 2024. T-shirt sizing and complete race day packet cannot be guaranteed to those who register after September 21. Note: This will be an in-person event and all participants in attendance are recommended to follow all applicable County, State, and CDC guidelines.
