6 Hours of Power (General Butler State Park)
The crew at Wolf Pack Adventures is excited to bring you this unique event in the beautiful rolling hills of Northern Kentucky. Run as many 5K loops as you can in 6 hours at General Butler State Park! Complete at least four loops to officially complete the race. You do not need to run for 6 hours. You can run for as long as it takes you to run four loops. Your official race time will be recorded as the time you complete your fourth loop. Results will be recorded as the total number of loops each participant runs in 6 hours. Whoever runs the most loops in 6 hours is the 6 Hours of Power champion.
General Butler State Resort Park is an amazing place with tons of family friendly activities. The park has a lodge with a restaurant and lounge, an award winning folf course, mini golf course, lake with kayaks and canoes, hiking trails and an amazing lookout tower to take in the scenic views! Check out all the park has to offer!
Schedule
- October 4, 9:15AM: Race check in.
- 9:45AM: Pre-race meeting.
- 10AM: Race starts.
- 4:00PM: Finish line closes.
Course Description
All races Start/Finish at the Recreation Center. 5K course is one loop. Elevation gain: 440 ft. GPX map
The course will be marked with color coded flags, cones, and arrows. You will have to PAY ATTENTION to stay on course. Don't just follow the person in front of you! There is no water station along the route. You will have aid station support at the Start/Finish line before you start each loop. This is a trail and mixed terrain event. Be sure to include similar terrain on your training runs!
