5km For Charley Mae
5KM for Charley Mae is an inaugural community run and walk that raises funds for McMaster Children's Hospital (MacKids). Net proceeds are designated to support the hospital's care for children and families.
The event takes place at Joe Sams Leisure Park on Centre Road in Waterdown, Ontario on June 14, 2026. The program includes registration and welcome announcements, a warm up hosted by ALTA Spine and Sports Therapy, a 5 km run/walk, and food trucks, vendors and information tents.
Wheelchairs and strollers are permitted on the course; bikes and scooters are not allowed for safety reasons. Registrations are available in child and adult categories; children under five do not require registration. Fundraising is part of the event and McMaster Children's Hospital is listed as the beneficiary. At the time of listing the event fundraising total had already exceeded the stated goal.
