Hot tips from past runners:
If you’re a fan of the incredible 5 Peaks Trail Running Series events, please know that the vibe is just as incredible but this course is much more challenging. Do your research and training. You should have realistically run a minimum of 25km-30km on trail before attempting this race. The elevation is significant and practicing once a month on your local hill ain’t going to cut it. HIT THE TRAILS- Calgary Trial Runners or Canmore Trail Culture are great and supportive groups for training on the trails in the Bow Valley.
Mandatory Gear:
- Hydration Pack
- Jacket
- Gloves
- BUFF to cover the ears
Suggested Equipment:
- snacks/proper fuel is required so you can properly energize your body. The aid stations are spectacular but ensure you have your own fuel for in between.
- bear spray
- trail shoes are highly recommended
Be sure to thank the volunteers and bring your positive, badass, supportive attitude because the trail running community is like no other! 🙌 Can’t wait to see you on race day!
