2027 MBNA Chester 10K - 14 March 2027
The MBNA Chester 10K is the only city-based 10K in Chester, offering a multi-award-winning and sell-out event. It's a great introductory race for new runners and a stepping stone towards a half marathon. The event features a lively city centre start and finish, with a route passing iconic Chester landmarks, heading north-west through Mollington, and returning for a finish near the Eastgate Clock.
Before race day, participants receive access to training plans, support and advice, free training runs, and a personalised race pack (including race number and timing chip) sent by post. Overseas entrants must collect their race numbers from the Help Desk on race weekend. The event also offers exclusive sponsor offers, a dedicated fundraising partner (GoFundMe), and access to a supportive online community. Free runner-to-runner transfers are available.
On race day, participants can expect a fantastic race atmosphere, a complimentary short-sleeve technical T-shirt, a bespoke medal, a goody bag with post-race nutrition, official race photos, a runners' Help Desk, and live tracking for supporters. Medical support and on-course hydration are provided. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and women, and winners in each age group. The minimum age is 15. The event is run under UK Athletics rules and the course is measured by the AUKCM.
Entry Prices:
- UKA Affiliated Runners receive a £2 discount.
- Early Bird entry: £37.80 (Until 23:59 on 31st March 2026)
- Standard entry: £42.00 (Until 23:59 on 28th February 2027)
- Late entry: £44.00 (From 1st March 2026)
Participants can choose their start wave. Transfers to another runner are possible, but no transfers to other events or deferrals to another year, and no refunds. The minimum age on race day is 15.
Green Runner Option:
The Green Runner option costs £42.00 and donates the cost of a finisher's medal, t-shirt, and goody bag to the official race charity, helping to reduce waste and support the community. Race numbers for Green Runners will clearly indicate this option.
