2026 Stinson Beach/Muir Woods Marathon, Half Marathon & 7 Mile
Waiting at the Stinson Beach start line will be the only time you spend at sea level during this challenging trail run. From the word "Go" you'll be heading, up, up and away into the thick wooded trails of Muir Woods. You'll follow the legendary Dipsea trail to Steep Ravine, where you'll climb a wooden ladder, march up natural rock and wooden staircases and scramble under tree trunks. Along the way, enjoy the sounds of babbling brooks and waterfalls. Drink in the fresh smell of the towering redwoods and oaks that surround you. Your summit will be rewarded with panoramic vistas as you begin your descent back into Stinson Beach.

Course Map & Elevation Profile
COURSE CUT-OFF TIME : 6.5 HOURS (~15:00min/mile pace for marathoners, ~30:00min/mile pace for half marathoners, ~55:00min/mile pace for 7 Milers). Hikers/Walkers are welcome to participate.

ATHLETE CHECK-IN: If you received your bib in the mail, you do not need to check-in. If you need to pick up a bib or change your distance, you can do so at from 7:00-7:45 AM at the start/finish area in Stinson Beach Park. Safety pins and course maps will also be available during athlete check-in.
COURSE MARKINGS: The course will be marked with orange ribbon. The 7 Milers will turn at the first aid station. The half marathoners and marathoners will continue to do a loop. The marathoners will do that loop twice and an additional out & back with a sign at the out & back turnaround.
AID STATIONS: Aid Stations at miles 3.8, 7.5, 10.5, 14.2, 17.2, & 22.2. We highly recommend that you carry water .
INCENTIVES: T-Shirts for all participants. Personalized award ribbons to the top three finishers, male and female, in each age group for all distances which will be mailed out a few weeks after the race. Finisher medals for Full Marathoners and Half Marathoners. Medals Awarded to ALL Half Marathon Finishers.
BIB NUMBERS: Bib numbers will be mailed out to participants beginning two weeks before the event. If you do NOT receive a bib prior to race day, you will pick one up on race day morning . If you did not supply a valid mailing address when you registered, or if your mailing address has changed, please e-mail us at [email protected] .
PARKING: is available at Stinson Beach Park.

CANCELLATIONS: Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Here are the policy Terms & Conditions of the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program. You cannot purchase it AFTER you have completed your checkout. Otherwise, if you don't purchase the refund protection, and you need to cancel, you can email us by April 9, 2026 to receive a rollover credit (the amount you paid minus a $20 fee ) to use toward any future Enviro-Sports race.
HEADPHONES POLICY: Since parts of this race include very narrow trails with steep drop-offs along the course, it is imperative that runners can hear each other in order to pass safely, even if they are running at a slow speed. For safety reasons (and for the enjoyment of your fellow runners) headphones (and any other audio devices) are NOT allowed.
