2026 Hobbler Half Marathon - 5k - Kids Marathon

This USATF Certified Half Marathon course begins up Hobble Creek Canyon and ends in the city of Springville. Come find out why this has become one of the fastest-growing races in Utah. Event Details and Schedule
Distances: Half Marathon – 13.1 Miles, 5k – 3.1 Miles
Start Times: Half Marathon – 6:30 a.m., 5k – 8:30 a.m.
Half Marathon Bus Transportation: All half marathon runners MUST ride the buses from the finish line location at Arts Park – 700 S. 1300 E. in Springville UT. Buses will shuttle runners from 4:45 am with the final bus leaving at 5:25 am. No parking is available at the start line.
5k Start: The 5k route begins and ends at Arts Park in Springville. No bus transportation is needed for 5k runners.
Parking: Park at the Springville High School parking lot and walk to Art’s Park for packet pick-up, half marathon bus pick-up, and the 5k start. Do not park along 900 South or 1350 East.
Bag Drop: A vehicle will be available at the half marathon start line to transport clothing bags to the finish line. Bags should be labeled with your bib number.
Time Limit: Police and volunteer course support will end at 9:30 am.
Awards Ceremony: Awards for age categories can be claimed at the event or at Smile Center of Utah after the event.
Awards and Prizes
- Overall Half Marathon Winners (male & female) – $150
- Half Marathon 2nd place (male & female) – $75
- Half Marathon 3rd place (male & female) - $50
- Overall 5k Winners (male & female) – $50
- Top 3 finishers in each age division will receive medals.
- Half Marathon finishers will receive custom medals.
- Cash prizes must be claimed within 7 days of the event.
Age Divisions:
1-11, 12-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Aid Stations and Nutrition:
- Half Marathon: 6 water/Powerade and aid stations (approx. every 2 miles). Energy Gels at mile 6.
- 5k: 1 water/Powerade and aid station.
- Water, sports drinks, and breakfast/fruit available at the Finish Line Compound.
Medical and Recovery:
Medical support at the Finish Line Compound and first aid kits at aid stations. Massage therapists will be available at the Finish Line Compound.
Amenities:
Portable bathrooms at the Start/Finish Line Compound and approx. every 3 miles on the half marathon course.
Race Rules:
- All runners must have a bib number to participate.
- Portable Music Devices are allowed, but be aware of your surroundings.
- Timing Chips & Race Numbers will be provided to official entrants.
- Registration fees are non-refundable. Entry may be transferred to another runner by July 5, 2024. See http://www.run13.com/races/hobbler/faq for details.
- Pacers will be available for the Half Marathon course. Runners are encouraged to line up according to their pace per mile.
- Strollers are allowed; please start towards the back of the pack.
Weather Policy:
The race will proceed in light rain, but may be delayed or canceled due to severe weather (lightning, thunderstorms, tornadoes, heavy rain). In case of cancellation, no refunds will be issued as funds are already spent. Arrangements will be made for runners to receive sponsor items. Finish Line Party:
Enjoy food, entertainment, bounce houses, and face painting for kids. Blankets and chairs are welcome.
