Event Details
The Day of the Dead Land of Enchantment Backyard Ultra takes place at the Prehistoric Trackways National Monument in Las Cruces, NM. This stunning location allows a large area for personal aid setup around the start/finish area, complete with campsites and parking.
Event Format
This is a last runner standing format event. Each participant will run a 4.167-mile lap starting every hour, on the hour, until only one runner remains.
Awards
All participants will receive a Land of Enchantment hoodie and a Day of the Dead DNF medal. Runners completing 24 laps will receive a 100-mile buckle, with overall male and female awards awarded, including a prize for the fastest lap.
Course Description
Participants will run on a well-maintained, crushed gravel trail network with some elevation changes. Runners must finish each lap within an hour to remain in the competition, ensuring a thrilling race until the last runner stands.
Registration Information
The opening price for registration is $124.00, which includes access to the aid stations, a hoodie, and a DNF medal. Pricing will increase as the event date approaches:

- $154.00 - Aug 1 – Sep 30
- $174.00 - Oct 1 – Oct 30
